Ad Buster.

Nike goes a long way with their tradition and dedication for the athletes represented around the world. They have developed a worldwide slogan that everyone clearly understands and recognizes once seen, “Just do it”. Sometimes this might be used in different ways and intended for the wrong crowd of people.
Every kid around the world wants to be “Like Mike, MJ, Kobe, LeBron” etc. They want to have what is being worn on court, and not to mention, who is wearing what, while they are winning. Nike targets athletes, most of whom are young children who one-day dream of being a professional athlete like the people they grew up watching, but sometimes children and kids around the world might try to take their slogan into something it’s not like the image above. “Just do it” is not subjected to just do anything you desire. It is targeted and intended for those who desire to be something they have always desired on court. Not everything should be done because of this international recognized symbol.

In my personal/body photography, I wanted to explore the body in a different and more personal artistic matter. Having tattoos on your body in the generation is often accepted. Tattoos are a way of expressing yourself with ink and an addiction of pain many tend to develop with time. For my project I knew I did not have to go far to capture my images. Everywhere I turn there is someone who has sat in a chair for numerous hours just to get the chance to develop a unique mural on his or her body.
Typically someone usually gets something permanent on their body that represents something of great meaning. A tattoo might be a representation of a loved one that has passed, such a strong word that many will never understand, or even an image of an unforgettable event that can be brought to life and be displayed in such a manner that no one else could possibly imagine.
Raised by my mother, I was told that a tattoo is a bad representation of your image and this is what I was taught at a young age. Now reminiscing of the past, I realize that the time period has changed, and being able to represent yourself in such a way, everyone around you is willing to realize all the negativity was old and not to many people might visualize you as a killer. There might be some exceptions to those who might be judged, but being able to represent yourself in a non-business environment is what many people accept.
